Bee Girl is Finished

I finished Bee Girl a few days ago. If you want to see her beginnings, go here.

She is coloured pencil and acrylic on wood.

I wonder what her story is?

This little one reminds me of the young Saint Ambrose of whom legend has it that as a child a swarm of bees landed on his face and left behind a drop of honey which his father considered a sign of the Saint's future eloquence. Bees and bee hives are part of his symbology. I like you use of this unexpected media, Zom.

Violet, I loved the way her left foot scrunched up at the toes and tried to make sure and capture that.

Mary Helen, I see the inquisitive too!

Laura, thank you.

Susan, thank you for the story. Love it - it adds something to the image for me.
